Mitra

With its crest-like silhouette and layered surfaces, Mitra suggests upward motion and quiet strength. 

Delicately hand-formed and layered with natural textures, this piece cradles warm, golden fairy lights that glow from within. When lit, it casts intricate patterns across the walls, like flickering memories or the light filtering through leaves. There’s something soothing about it, calming, grounding, yet full of movement and life.

Whether placed on a bookshelf, side table, or nestled in a quiet corner, Mitra creates a moment. A moment to pause, to breathe, to just be.

Lucie Anderson is a contemporary New Zealand artist based in Napier, working across Sculptural Textured Lightworks and alcohol ink painting.

Her work explores light, shadow and material depth, evolving from fluid ink-based works into sculptural, light-responsive forms for contemporary interiors.
