Contemporary sculptural works exploring light, texture, sustainability and material form.

  • The Tide
The Tide is a sculptural exploration of light, texture, and transformation. Crafted from recycled corrugated cardboard and illuminated from within, it reveals intricate layers that shift between shadow and glow.

Quietly striking, it brings a sense of depth, movement, and wonder to contemporary interiors.
  • Layers of the Land
Layers of the Land explores place, texture, and connection through intricate layers and different textures. As light moves across its surface, a dance of shadows brings depth and quiet movement to the work.

Contemporary yet organic, it brings a sense of grounding, warmth, and calm to modern interiors.
  • Delicate Shadows
Delicate Shadows captures the quiet magic of looking closer. Intricate patterns emerge from shadow and light, shifting across the surface, creating a sense of depth and mystery.
  • Lattice Column
Lattice Column is a sculptural table light that blends warm ambience with architectural clarity. Its upright form is wrapped in a hand‑shaped, lace‑like lattice, a pattern that casts soft, shifting shadows across nearby walls, creating a gentle interplay of glow and geometry.
  • Contour Drum Light
A sculptural light piece shaped by hand, this Textured Lightwork Drum brings warmth, texture, and quiet atmosphere into any space. Its organic, lace‑like surface transforms light into soft, shifting patterns — turning a simple glow into an intimate visual experience. More than a lamp, it’s a crafted object that anchors a room with calm presence and natural elegance.

  • Orbix Nocturna
    Orbix Nocturna - Lucie Anderson
A striking evolution of my Textured Lightwork series, Orbix Nocturna is a hand-cut, hand-moulded table light crafted in deep black with subtle gold accents. By day, it stands as a sculptural centrepiece, its intricate textures and organic form catching the eye. By night, once illuminated, it transforms, casting dramatic patterns of light and shadow that dance across the surrounding space.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, meticulously created to balance elegance with bold presence.

Orbix Nocturna is both artwork and light, designed to bring atmosphere, intrigue, and a touch of luxury into any interior.
  • Cylindra
Original Textured Corrugated Cardboard Artwork with Light | Contemporary Wall Sculpture by Lucie Anderson

    'Cylindra'
One-of-a-kind sculptural light from the Textured Lightworks series

There’s a quiet kind of magic in how light can transform a space, soften the edges, draw you in, shift the mood entirely.

My Textured Lightworks were created with that in mind: a sculptural form that doesn’t just sit in a room, but lives and breathes with it.
  • Echoes of Time
“Echoes of Time” is a contemplative, layered work constructed entirely from recycled corrugated cardboard. Each concentric circle was cut, shaped, and placed by hand — a meditative process that took many patient hours. This artwork speaks of rhythm and repetition, the way time expands and folds in on itself. The natural texture of the cardboard evokes tree rings, ripples in water, or the sedimentary build-up of the earth’s history — all silent records of memory and transformation.

With the LED panel turned on, the piece comes to life, glowing from within like a living fossil or ancient sun dial. The subtle addition of white material in one of the central rings offers contrast — a glimmer of difference within the cycles, hinting at moments in life that stand out from the rest: pivotal, memorable, luminous.

This piece is both a sculpture and a light source — grounded and glowing, quiet yet commanding.

  • Koru Reimagined
The spiral form represents the Koru, a powerful symbol in Aotearoa New Zealand of new life, growth, strength, and peace. Just like the unfurling silver fern frond it echoes, this work suggests movement, light, and transformation, qualities found not only in nature but also in ourselves.
Depending on the light and angle, the texture shifts and the shadows dance, a quiet reminder that there is elegance in imperfection, and strength in softness. This piece is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the natural world through mindful reuse and intentional creation.
This sculptural work is a new direction in my creative journey, exploring form and new beginnings using humble, discarded materials, it invites viewers to see beauty in the overlooked and to reflect on cycles of renewal.
  • A Gentle Hold
“A Gentle Hold” explores the quiet strength found in connection and care. Hand-cut from corrugated cardboard and softly illuminated from within, the piece evokes the early moments of creation, two forms encircling a glowing centre, like cells dividing, or figures leaning in toward something sacred. The layered curves and subtle shadows form a visual rhythm that speaks to warmth, protection, and the delicate balance of being held, but not confined. Light breathes through the structure in a gentle pulse, inviting stillness and reflection.

    Beneath the Surface
    ‘Beneath the Surface’ by
    Lucie Anderson

This work speaks to the resilience woven into all of us: the strength to survive, adapt, and rise. Made from reclaimed corrugated cardboard, a humble and often discarded material, it honours the beauty of transformation. The ripples and scars of the medium are not hidden but celebrated, a mark of survival, like landscapes shaped by time and memory.

This contemporary, sustainable artwork brings together natural rhythm, material honesty, and soft, sculptural detail—ideal for modern interiors seeking meaning and calm.
